Haltman.io is a group of Brazilian hackers.

We were not assembled by hype, funding, or a brand deck. We were assembled by time. Long time. Friends for more than a decade, crossing paths, switching cities, jobs, aliases, and operating systems — still in contact, still building, still learning, still shipping.

The idea was simple: when one of us needs help, the others show up. Voluntary provisioning of services. Guidance. Infrastructure. Review. No invoices. No pitch. No “growth”. Just mutual aid and practical engineering.

We have been around. We participated in several Brazilian groups over the years. Some dissolved into silence and inactivity. Some “changed sides”. Some collapsed when leadership got arrested and convicted for illegal acts. Some drifted until the people in charge no longer represented our interest or our commitment to transparency, free knowledge, and free software.

So we did what hackers do when a system rots: we forked the social layer. We regrouped and built our own independent crew.

We are not affiliated with any other “hacker” group. We are not a franchise. We do not inherit anyone’s politics, baggage, or mythology. Our independence guarantees our freedom and sustains our creativity. Those who trade freedom for security end up with neither — we do not make this mistake.

Our work is public. We publish, we document, we release. We are not available for hire.
